Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a great central location surrounded by shops, bars, and restaurants, making it very practical for exploring Whitby and the surrounding areas. The rooms need redecorating and cleaning, with plaster missing in places on the walls, but the atmosphere is full of character. The service is friendly and pleasant, although a bit disorganized at times. The dining experience offers freshly cooked local produce but lacks some variety in cereal options. Overall, the hotel provides a unique atmosphere and convenient location.
The hotel has characterful rooms that are clean and fresh, though somewhat cold due to a small and partially functioning radiator. The step up into the toilet was a bit dangerous. The location is exceptional, offering easy access to Whitby's attractions, but expect some noise from the busy street. Dining was lovely with quality ingredients, and the hotel is only a stone's throw from the historic 199 steps.
The hotel's rooms were very large and exceptionally clean, although they were not exactly as pictured. The food was very good, and the property is conveniently located close to all amenities. Overall, it was an excellent stay and I would choose to stay there again.
